The Joe M. McLaurin Newsletter Awards

The Joe M. McLaurin Newsletter Awards are presented to a society or organization (historical, genealogical, preservation or archeological) that through the use of a newsletter, is keeping its membership effectively informed and is making an important contribution toward the accomplishments of the goals and objectives of the society or organization.  The newsletter will additionally be judged on the general appropriateness of the content, readability, originality and neatness.  The newsletter must deal primarily with North Carolina subjects, but need not be published in the state.  They may be of any length, from one to many pages.
